Create Support Point

Ribbon: Catenary Design > Catenary > Support Point

With the New function in the Support points menu, you can attach a support point to an existing catenary. If there is no catenary defined, you have to create one first because a support point cannot exist without a catenary.

Intention	Insert a support point to an existing catenary.
Instructions	Run the Create Support Point function. Select the catenary where the support point should be attached to. Specify the position of the new support point. Run the Create function. Close the Support Point dialog with OK. This dialog will only open if it is defined like that in the options.
Result	Sicat Master creates a support point and extends the catenary.

Note: Depending on the chosen defaults in the options for the creating of support points, Sicat Master will create other elements like poles, cantilevers or contact wires together with the support point. Then the distance of the new pole to the neighbor pole is automatically customized to the catenary to which the support point was attached.

You can locate the support point by coordinates directly in the dialogue window.
